Greek electric vehicle subsidy program KINOUME ILEKTRIKA 3 receives €10 million boost and deadline extension

The Greek "KINOUME ILEKTRIKA 3" programme, administered by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, has been allocated an additional €10 million, raising the total budget from €66 million to €76 million. The extra funding will be drawn from revenues generated by greenhouse‑gas emission allowances auctions and placed in a special account at the Bank of Greece.

The programme’s application deadline has been moved from 30 September 2026 to 31 December 2026, giving applicants three more months to submit requests. The extended timeline applies to both private individuals (Category A) and legal entities (Category B). Under the new allocation, €48 million is earmarked for individuals—primarily for electric cars, light commercial vehicles, electric scooters and e‑bikes—while €28 million will support businesses.

The subsidy amounts per vehicle type remain unchanged, but the overall pool of resources is larger. The programme is set to conclude its disbursements by 31 December 2027, unless the funds are exhausted earlier.
