Greek energy providers announce October electricity tariffs

Major Greek energy providers have announced their electricity tariffs for October, showing varying approaches to recent volatility in the wholesale market.

HERON is maintaining its supply charge for green household tariffs at 0.14760 Euro/kWh for its BASIC HOME plan, with a monthly fixed fee of 5 Euro. This decision comes as the company absorbs a 17% increase in wholesale electricity prices recorded in September. For business customers, rates are set at 0.17780 Euro/kWh for BASIC BUSINESS S and 0.17941 Euro/kWh for BASIC BUSINESS L.

DEI is keeping its promotional rate for the 'blue' fixed tariff at 0.115 Euro/kWh for October, allowing households to lock in competitive pricing despite market pressures. However, DEI's green variable household tariff (G1/G1N) will increase to 0.15913 Euro/kWh from 0.14913 Euro/kWh in September. This represents an approximate 7% increase, which partially offsets the roughly 17% rise seen in the wholesale market.
