Greek firefighters to receive administration allowance up to 500 euros

Following the signing of a Joint Ministerial Decision, Greek firefighters will receive an administration allowance ranging from 80 to 500 euros. The amount varies based on the specific position and level of responsibility held by the officer.

The decision applies to active personnel within the Fire Service performing administrative duties in central, regional, and special services. The allowance is retroactive, with its validity beginning on October 1, 2025.

Evangelos Tournas, the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, stated that this measure fulfills a government commitment to support the Fire Service and recognizes the increased responsibilities undertaken by administrative officers.
