Greek football clubs AEL and PAOK undergo leadership changes

Athlitiki Enosi Larissa (AEL) secured participation in the upcoming Super League 2 season and is moving toward a takeover by Thessaloniki entrepreneur Zisis Stylianou, with an official hand‑over expected by Monday (06 July). The club’s former owner, Achilleas Davelis, has joined the league’s council, and a statement noted that “those who recently imagined historic AEL in the lower divisions can now wait for the next cycle.”

In a separate development, the president of PAOK’s amateur section, Alkis Isaidis, is reportedly preparing to resign from his role. If confirmed, the club’s board will convene to discuss his departure and succession, though Isaidis is expected to remain a board member and continue influencing club affairs.
