Greek Geotechnical Chamber calls for suspension of new aid filing sanctions

The Geotechnical Chamber of Greece (GEOTEE), representing geotechnical professionals, sent an official letter to Deputy Prime Minister Konstantinos Hatziadakis, Minister of Rural Development & Food Margarita Schoina, and the head of the Agricultural Aid Authority Georgios Pitsilis. The letter concerns articles 96 and 97 of Law 5322/2026, which introduce a new administrative sanction regime for Centers for Submission of Declarations (K.Y.D.) and consultants handling the Unified Application for Support (EAE) 2026.

GEOTEE argues the regime imposes disproportionate fines of €2,000‑€50,000 per violation and possible exclusion, even for trivial technical or registration errors. It criticises vague terminology, the shift of liability onto consultants, and the lack of safeguards for errors stemming from public registries. The Chamber requests an immediate suspension of the sanctions, a grace period of up to 15 days to correct mistakes without fines, and a tiered penalty system linked to the level of fault.
