Greek giants Panathinaikos and Olympiakos eye River Plate left‑back Matías Viña
Greek clubs Panathinaikos and Olympiakos have been linked to a possible transfer for Uruguayan international left‑back Matías Viña. Viña, 28, is currently playing for River Plate in Argentina on loan from Brazilian side Fluminense and is part of Uruguay’s national team.
According to River Plate reporter Sebastián Srur, the two Greek clubs are assessing the €3.5 million‑valued defender, who has a contract with Fluminense until December 2028. Viña has amassed 44 caps for Uruguay, 235 career appearances and 13 goals, and his move is expected to be discussed in the coming days.
