Greek government expands digital literacy program for seniors and people with disabilities

The “All Digital – Digital Education and Empowerment of the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities” programme, run by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, provides basic digital skills to citizens over 65 and to people with disabilities. In the third Community Center of Kifisia, two classes of 15 participants each learned safe internet navigation, use of the gov.gr portal and electronic payments, reporting greater independence in daily tasks.

Minister Domna Michailidou, the government’s vice‑president and the mayor of Kifisia visited the training, speaking of digital literacy as “a tool of freedom and autonomy.” The minister highlighted the programme’s expansion to about 200 community centres nationwide and called for its continuation to reduce the digital divide in Greece.
