Greek Government Sets Hunting License Fees for 2026‑2027

The Greek government published ministerial decisions outlining the fees and subscriptions for the 2026‑2027 hunting season. For members of recognized hunting societies, a local licence costs €1, a regional licence €21 and a general licence €51. Citizens of EU member states, Greek expatriates, long‑term foreign residents and diplomatic staff pay an additional 90 % of the annual hunting society subscription on top of these amounts.

For non‑EU nationals, fees differ by the type of controlled hunting area. In public controlled zones, a general licence costs €60 for up to 15 days, €120 for up to two months, and €150 for the full season; in private controlled zones the fee is €50 for the entire season. The annual subscription for hunting‑society members remains €96, of which €17 goes to the respective hunting federation and €63 to the Hunting Confederation of Greece. The decisions also require hunting federations to allocate at least half of their annual revenue to wildlife‑conservation projects.
