Greek Historical Drama ‘Θάλασσες μας χώρισαν’ Premieres on ERTFLIX

The eight‑episode historical family drama “Θάλασσες μας χώρισαν” will debut on the public broadcaster’s streaming service ERTFLIX for the new television season. Based on Ifigeneia Teko’s novel, the series follows the sisters Paraskevi and Elpida after their family is forced to leave Italian‑occupied Smyrna in 1937 and seek a new life in Istanbul and later Alexandria, against the backdrop of major 20th‑century events.

The screenplay was written by Sofia Sotiriou, directed by Christos Dimas, and features a cast that includes Katerina Lechou, Leonida Kakouri, Nefeli Kouri, Athina Libandi, Giannis Koukourakis, Vangelis Stratigakos, Dimitra Matsu, and Smaragda Smyrniou. The title song is performed by Eleni Tsaligopoulou with music by Giorgos Bousounis.
