Greek hotel satisfaction rises to 87.3% in winter study

A study by INSETE Intelligence, utilizing data from ReviewPro, reveals high levels of customer satisfaction within the Greek hotel sector for the winter period of November 2025 to March 2026. The General Satisfaction Index (GRI) rose to 87.3%, up from 87.1% the previous year, maintaining Greece's position as the second-ranked competitive market behind Cyprus.

Analysis of thousands of online reviews indicates that guest rooms are both the primary driver of positive feedback and the leading source of complaints. While rooms received 12,183 positive mentions—largely driven by views—they also accounted for 6,515 negative reports. Other highly-rated categories include staff, overall hotel atmosphere, food, and breakfast.

Key areas for improvement identified by guests include bathroom cleanliness and equipment, as well as noise levels and general building maintenance. The data suggests that for hoteliers, investment must extend beyond design and renovation to include consistent daily maintenance and equipment reliability.
