Greek industrial associations demand CISAF energy support

Sixteen Greek industrial and business associations have issued a joint appeal to the government to immediately implement the CISAF state aid mechanism. The group, which includes the Hellenic Federation of Industries (SEV), seeks to mitigate the burden of high energy costs on the manufacturing sector.

The associations aim to create a protective safety net for more than 700 energy-intensive manufacturing companies that remain vulnerable to electricity price fluctuations. The request comes amid rising natural gas prices and geopolitical developments that have increased uncertainty regarding energy security and supply costs in Europe ahead of winter.
