Greek-interest shipping companies report strong Q2 earnings

Greek-interest shipping companies listed on Wall Street reported strong second-quarter 2026 results, driven by rising freight rates and high Time Charter Equivalent (TCE) values. The dry bulk sector showed particularly positive trends, while containerships and tankers maintained high profitability.

Key performers included Star Bulk Carriers, which recorded a net profit of $144.9 million—its highest quarterly result since Q2 2022—and announced a dividend of $0.90 per share. Navios Maritime Partners saw revenues increase by 25.2% to $410.2 million, with adjusted EBITDA reaching $242.2 million. Safe Bulkers also reported significant growth, with net profits jumping to $35.2 million from $1.7 million in the same period last year.

In the containership sector, Danaos Corporation maintained high profitability with revenues of $274.4 million. Meanwhile, in the Greek market, indices showed positive momentum, closing at 2,634 points following a period of five consecutive winning weeks.
