Greek Islands Host Major Art Exhibitions on Andros, Paros and Poros

The Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation is presenting a retrospective of sculptor Germaine Richier at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Andros. The show, titled “Germaine Richier (1902‑1959) – Conversations,” runs through 27 September 2026 and traces the artist’s entire career, including a reconstruction of her studio and a focus on her print work.

Paros Park’s Porto Aoussa venue in Naoussa is hosting photographer Robert A. McCabe’s exhibition “Memorias del Egeo” until 30 September 2026. The 82‑image collection documents life on the Aegean islands from the 1950s to the late 1970s, offering a historic view of Greece before mass tourism.

On the island of Poros, the Citronne Gallery features two solo shows: Afrodita Liti’s “El juego de la emergencia” (open until 13 September 2026) and Nikos Podias’s “Huellas” (open until 30 September 2026). Both exhibitions spotlight contemporary Greek artistic practice in historic settings.
