Greek islands host summer road and mountain‑bike races in July 2026

On Sunday 12 July 2026 the municipality of Mytilene and the Lesvos Runners will stage the 4th Night Road Race in the town’s Sapho Square. The event offers 5‑km and 10‑km routes starting at 21:00 and will feature two of Greece’s top athletes: Ironman 70.3 European champion Panagiotis Bitados, who also won the Athens Half‑Marathon, and track star Olga Fiaska, a former Youth Olympic bronze‑medallist and World Championship competitor.

Meanwhile, the island of Rhodes will host the ELAFOS MTB by MOTO FESSARAS competition on 11‑12 July 2026 in the Rodi Park. The two‑day event, organized with the Rhodes municipality and the Hellenic Cycling Federation, includes XCE (Eliminator) races on Saturday and XCC races on Sunday across multiple age and gender categories, from Mini Mini (U 9) to Masters.

Both events aim to promote mass participation and showcase local athletic talent on the Greek islands.
