Greek K20 athletics team arrives in California ahead of World Championships

The first squad of Greece's national K20 athletics team touched down in Santa Barbara, California on Tuesday afternoon (Greek time) after a 24‑hour journey. The athletes are set to conduct a mini‑training camp before departing on 3 August for Oregon, where the World Championships will be held from 5 to 9 August.

Team members reported excellent first impressions of their accommodation. The roster includes boys such as Vasilis Salpas (800 m) and Giannis Taskoudis (110 m hurdles) and girls such as Apostolia Antonatou (100 m) and Danai Bakogianni (100 m hurdles). The delegation travelled under the auspices of the Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS).
