Greece holds anti-fascist rallies to mark 13 years since Pavlos Fyssas murder

Various organizations across Greece are organizing anti-fascist rallies to commemorate the 13th anniversary of the murder of Pavlos Fyssas, an anti-fascist musician and metal worker. The killing took place in Keratsini by members of the neo-Nazi organization Golden Dawn.

In Mytilene, the Palliessvian Labor Center has scheduled a gathering at Sappho Square. In Crete, the Union of Parents and Students of the Municipality of Heraklion is calling for a rally at Eleftherias Square, inviting parents, educators, students, and labor unions to participate. Additionally, the Lefkada-Vonitsa Labor Center has announced a meeting at Agios Minas Square.

The organizers emphasize a continued struggle against fascism and the systems they claim support such ideologies. The announcements highlight concerns regarding the political reappearance of figures associated with Golden Dawn and call for the isolation of far-right movements in schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
