Greek Left Alliance unveils policy platform and begins nationwide town‑hall tour
The Greek Left Alliance (ELAS) presented a four‑pillar programme aimed at relieving the tax burden on salaried workers, rebuilding the social state with a focus on health and education, driving productive transformation through a National Convergence Fund that leverages private capital, and protecting households from spikes in food, energy and housing costs. Specific measures include scrapping nationwide exams, offering free public transport, and raising wages for doctors, nurses and teachers.
ELAS also launched a "Now We Talk" (Τώρα μιλάμε) series of public events across the country, with meetings scheduled in Vyronas, Tripoli, Amaliada, Kalamaria and other cities from 1 July onward, where party spokesperson Theoni Koufounikolaou and regional leaders will hear citizens' concerns and discuss the programme.
