Greek Left Coalition ELAS Names New Department Heads

The Greek Left coalition (ELAS) announced the appointment of heads and deputy heads for 25 policy sectors. The list includes figures such as former Larissa mayor Apostolos Kalogianis, who will serve as deputy head of Local Administration. Other sectors receiving appointments cover Labour, Health, Education, Sports, Culture, Social Policy, Housing, Justice, Public Administration, Finance, Trade and Entrepreneurship, Tourism, Maritime Policy, Agriculture, Industry, Energy and Environment, Infrastructure and Transport, Climate Crisis, Migration, Digital Policy, Foreign Affairs and Defence. The party said the new structure aims to strengthen its internal organization ahead of upcoming activities.

The announcements were published in Greek media on 23 July, detailing both the primary leaders and their deputies for each area.
