Greek Left Coalition establishes organizational committees across 59 regions

The Greek Left Coalition (EL. A. S.), a new political movement associated with Alexis Tsipras, has established its organizational structure by forming Coordinating Committees across 59 electoral regions in Greece. The movement has appointed 596 officials to serve as its primary organizational backbone.

These committees are tasked with establishing local organizations in every municipality and municipal unit, organizing local political actions, registering new members, and promoting the party's economic campaign. To maintain a clear distinction between organizational duties and personal electoral activities, members of these Coordinating Committees will not stand as candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

In addition to this nationwide rollout, Alexis Tsipras is scheduled to attend a meeting at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EEA) on September 28, 2026. The discussion with the EEA leadership will focus on challenges facing small and medium-sized enterprises, including inflation, energy costs, taxation, and bureaucracy.
