Greek loan servicers restructure €356 million of distressed loans in June
In June, the four largest Greek loan‑servicing firms adjusted €356 million of “red” (non‑performing) loans for 4,239 borrowers, a slight decline from May’s €399 million but a sharp rise from April’s €205 million. The same month saw 2,164 new adjustments through the Extrajudicial Mechanism worth €511 million.
Cepal led the direct adjustments with €121.31 million for 1,159 borrowers, followed by doValue (€105.83 million for 1,158 borrowers), Intrum (€72.64 million for 1,109 borrowers) and Qquant (€56.15 million for 813 borrowers). Mortgage loans accounted for 38% of June’s adjustments, exceeding €125.3 million, while loans to very small enterprises made up 25% (€89 million).
Overall, servicers manage €79.6 billion of red loans, with the four firms holding 92.4% of this exposure: Cepal (32.2%, €25.6 billion), doValue (30.8%, €24.5 billion), Intrum (20.2%, €20.2 billion) and Qquant (4.1%, €3.3 billion). About €53.5 million of the June adjustments were covered by the Katselei law, split among the four servicers.
