Greek Local Councils Hold Scheduled Meetings on July 27, 2026

On 27 July 2026 the Regional Council of Thessaly met in its new administration building in Larissa. The agenda included validation of the minutes of three recent sessions, the creation of a joint Environment‑Agriculture‑Development Committee, a quarterly budget execution report, approval of operational grants for the Volos fire service, organization of a cultural programme, and amendments to the region’s technical and investment plans.

Later the same day the Municipal Committee of Chania convened at the central town hall for a public session. Its agenda covered the termination of a municipal lawsuit, enforcement of a court ruling, annual recruitment plans for permanent and contract staff, approval of waste‑collection contracts, and a series of procurement and service agreements for municipal needs.
