Greek long jumper Milos Tendoglou winds 8.54 m at Dromia meeting

At the international Dromia meeting in Vár, Greek long jumper Milos Tendoglou recorded an 8.54 m jump (+4.3 m/s wind), the best mark of the competition. Because the wind exceeded the legal limit of +2.0 m/s, the performance is not eligible for record purposes. Tendoglou also produced jumps of 8.23 m (+3.7) and 8.42 m (+2.3) in the same session.

The event also featured strong women's performances: the 4×100 m relay team of Fani Markouli, Apostolia Antonatou, Elena Iakovaki and Ioanna Tsigka set a new Greek K20 and K18 record with 45.64 seconds, while another Greek quartet finished second in 45.45 seconds. Additional highlights included individual sprint and hurdle results for both men and women.

Tendoglou’s next competition is the Balkan Athletics Championships in Volos, scheduled for the weekend of 20 June, where he will again contest the long jump.
