Greek Ministry launches Ergani app for instant mobile hiring

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Greece has launched the free "Ergani app", enabling employers to recruit staff directly from their smartphones in a few minutes. The tool supports digital contracts of up to two days, designed for businesses facing sudden staffing needs or increased workload.

The companion "myErgani app" notifies workers, displays contract terms and allows electronic acceptance. The process is fully digital, updates the Ergani II information system automatically, and records actual working time for greater transparency. The app was introduced under Law 5239/2025 – “Fair Work for All”. Ministry minister Niki Kerameos said the solution speeds up hiring, cuts bureaucracy and enhances employee protection.
