Greek Ministry of Culture announces 2.36 million euros in theatre and dance grants

The Greek Ministry of Culture has announced grants totaling 2.36 million euros to support theatre and dance productions across the country. This funding follows an evaluation of proposals submitted through the Ministry's Register of Cultural Entities under the ‘Creative Greece – Contemporary Culture Grants 2026’ program.

The subsidies target professional theatre groups for the implementation of productions, festivals, tours, and events, as well as the fields of classical and contemporary dance. Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni stated that the initiative aims to practically support creators and cultural entities, strengthening the presence of their work nationwide.

Special emphasis is placed on initiatives that travel to regional areas and islands to expand public access to contemporary culture and strengthen the connection between the arts and local communities.
