Greek Defence Ministry Launches €8.1 Million Military Housing Tender on Rhodes
The Greek Ministry of National Defence, together with the General Staff of the Army and the Supreme Military Command of the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean (ASDAAM), announced a public tender for the construction of new military housing on the island of Rhodes. The project, identified as “Construction works for military buildings and facilities – Declaration 16/2026,” is budgeted at €8.1 million including VAT (€6.53 million without VAT).
The tender will be opened on 14 September 2026, with bid sealing scheduled for 15 September 2026. The contract calls for three three‑storey residential complexes at the “Mavromichali” barracks in the Pastiada area. Each complex will contain 12 apartments – six two‑bedroom units (95–101.8 m²) and six three‑bedroom units (124.4 m²) – and will include a basement, stairwell and an elevator that does not serve the basement. Construction is estimated to take 900 days (about 30 months) from the signing of the contract.
