Greek Ministry of Education meets with teachers' federation

The Federation of Primary Education Teachers (OKPE) held meetings with the leadership of the Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports to address several issues concerning specialized teaching staff and school operations.

During a meeting with General Secretary Ioannis Papadomarkakis, the federation submitted a memorandum covering topics such as the teaching of specialized subjects by qualified personnel, the process for teacher assignments to complete working hours, and the movement of teachers between school units. Other discussed points included the creation of a unified transfer and secondment table between primary and secondary education, the upgrading of music education, and the evaluation of the educational system.

The Ministry indicated that clarifications, instructions, and necessary interventions are already being processed for many of these issues to ensure clearer and more unified implementation of procedures.
