Greek Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Gjirokastër Road Crash
A collision between a motorcycle and a truck occurred at about 17:30 on the Gjirokastër‑Kakavijë road near the Kthesa e Viroit junction. The motorcyclist, a 34‑year‑old Greek citizen, sustained serious injuries and was air‑lifted by helicopter to a specialist hospital in Tirana, where he is reported to be out of immediate life‑threatening danger. The truck driver, a 54‑year‑old Albanian resident of Gjirokastër, was taken to the police station for further action. Police and investigators remain on site to determine the exact cause of the crash.
