Greek MP Christina Staraka Calls for Immediate Water Supply Solution in Aitoliko

Member of Parliament Christina Staraka (PASOK‑Movement of Change) submitted a parliamentary question to the Minister of Environment and Energy, demanding an urgent, long‑term plan to secure the adequacy and quality of drinking water in the town of Aitoliko, Aetolia‑Acarnania. She asked the ministry to fund the necessary studies, explore national and EU financing options, and present a comprehensive strategy to address chronic water shortages and quality issues that have persisted for years, especially during high‑demand periods.

Staraka emphasized that “water is a public good and its adequacy and quality is an in‑negotiable obligation of the State,” and pledged to meet with the minister to obtain financing and promptly launch the required actions, arguing that residents deserve a modern, reliable water‑supply system for public health and quality of life.
