Greek MPs Kapetanos and Liakouli advance fair resolution for Alexandrine property owners

Member of Parliament Christos Kapetanos (New Democracy) attended an extraordinary general assembly of the Alexandrine owners’ association in Agia, Larissa, to address a decades‑long dispute over property titles in the Alexandrine and Sklihra areas. He reported recent meetings with the Ministry of Finance and the General Secretariat of Public Property, alongside PASOK MP Evangelia Liakouli, to seek institutional solutions.

More than 40 owners have already received concessions, but hundreds remain excluded because of changes in legislation. The MPs called for a fair regulatory amendment, scheduled a follow‑up meeting for late August, and sought a briefing with Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakas. The ministry is now moving to withdraw state claims and correct property records, paving the way for formal title registration, as announced in the newspaper Eleftheria.
