Greek Municipal Councils in Lixouri and Erymanthos Elect New Presidents
The municipal council of Lixouri (Ληξούριος) convened a special public session on 6 July 2026 to elect a new council presidium and members of the municipal committee for the 2024‑2028 term. The outgoing president, Antonios Parisis, was succeeded by a newly chosen council president, and the roster of regular and substitute committee members was approved.
In the neighbouring municipality of Erymanthos, council members also met in a consensus‑driven special session to select a new presidium. Dimitris Paraskevouplos was elected council president, with Drivilas Dimitrios as vice‑president and Georgantopoulos Ioannis as secretary. The mayor, Theodoros Baris, thanked the outgoing presidium and praised the experience of the new president. The session also appointed the new municipal committee, listing both majority and minority regular and substitute members.
Both councils emphasized continuity of institutional knowledge and commitment to transparent local governance.
