Greek municipal councils set July 20, 2026 meetings in Veria and Rhodes

The Veria municipal council will hold its regular session on Monday 20 July 2026 at 15:00. The agenda includes reviewing the 2015 regulation on use of shared public spaces, a donation of movable property to a cultural association, the leasing of an underground parking facility, participation in a network of cities, establishment of a youth council, amendments to the 2026 budget, a partnership with a university, installation of memorial plaques, purchase of a city plot, hiring of 17 fire‑prevention staff, and the appointment of members to a new municipal infant‑care centre.

The Rhodes municipal committee will also convene on 20 July 2026 at 10:00 for its 32nd regular meeting, using a hybrid format of in‑person and Zoom participation. Topics cover the cancellation of certain municipal debts, the 2027 staffing plan for temporary and permanent personnel, financing for athletic facilities and smart‑city projects, procedures for cultural event contracts, and the procurement of telecommunications equipment for the municipality.
