Greek municipalities initiate road paving and maintenance works

Municipalities in Greece are proceeding with road maintenance and asphalt paving programs to improve road safety and infrastructure.

In Heraklion, the Municipality's Road Construction Department has scheduled milling and paving works on Markou Mousourou, Yamoudi, and Vikela streets starting Wednesday, October 21, 2026, weather permitting. The project is expected to last approximately 15 working days and will include raising manholes and road marking.

In Thessaloniki, the Municipality is conducting night-time asphalt paving in the First Municipal Community. Works on Mitropoli tou Gennadiou and Kastritsiou streets are scheduled for October 20, followed by night-time paving on Ermou street on October 21 and 22.
