Greek municipalities launch 'Sports for All' programs

Greek municipalities are launching mass sports initiatives for the 2026–2027 period under the ‘Sports for All’ programs.

The Municipality of Preveza is organizing activities across its three municipal units. Programs are tailored to various age groups, including track and field for preschoolers (ages 4–6), aerobics for children (ages 6–12), and yoga or Pilates for adolescents, young adults, and seniors. Participation costs 12.00 euros, which can be paid monthly or in two installments. Interested participants must submit an application and medical certification by October 30, 2026.

Simultaneously, the Municipality of Volos is recruiting ten physical education graduates to implement its own ‘Sports for All’ programs. The positions involve fixed-term private law contracts for up to eight months. The roles cover diverse areas such as adult swimming, aerobics, Pilates, senior citizen exercise, adolescent programs, therapeutic gymnastics for people with disabilities, and specialized exercise within correctional facilities.
