Greek municipalities receive funding for fleet upgrades and infrastructure
The Municipality of Paxoi is upgrading its fleet through the ‘Antonis Tritsis – Electrification Actions in Municipalities’ program. With 100% funding totaling €974,640, the municipality has received seven vehicles, including an electric sweeper, a refuse collector, and a hybrid passenger vehicle. Two additional vehicles and five electric charging stations are expected. An additional €300,000 has been secured for conventional machinery, bringing the total investment for fleet renewal to €1,274,640.
In the North Aegean Region, the Municipality of Ikaria has been approved for €200,000 in funding for technical restoration projects. These works aim to repair damage caused by natural disasters in February. The projects include road repairs in Monokampi, road network and masonry restoration in Steli, and road surfacing in the Evdilos Municipal Unit. Tenders for these projects are expected to be completed within the year.
