Greek municipalities schedule local council and committee meetings

Local government bodies in Greece have scheduled upcoming sessions to address various administrative and infrastructural matters.

The Municipality of Deskalata has called for a regular Municipal Council meeting on September 10, 2026. The agenda includes budget amendments for 2026, organizational changes for the local nursery, waste management contracts, and the distribution of one-time birth assistance payments. The council will also discuss cooperation with a local animal welfare and environmental association and preparations for upcoming national holidays.

Separately, the Municipal Committee of Malevizi is set to meet on September 8, 2026. Key agenda items include the deletion of municipal debts, the approval of an energy upgrade project for the Agia Marina 2nd Primary School with a budget of €570,000, and traffic regulations for roadworks. Additionally, the committee will review restoration projects for areas affected by the October 2022 floods and discuss smart technology implementations for public transport.
