Greek National Athletics Championships Kick Off in Volos
The Greek National Athletics Championships opened on Saturday, 25 July 2026, and continued on Sunday, 26 July, at the Panthessaliko Stadium in Volos. Organized by the Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS) together with the Thessaly regional authorities and the city of Volos, the two‑day meet features the country's top track‑and‑field athletes.
Key competitors include pole‑vault specialist Emmanouíl Karalís, javelin thrower Elína Tzéngko, long‑jump champion Miltiadis Tentoglou, and Olympic pole‑vault champion Katerína Stefanídi. The schedule runs from morning qualifying rounds, starting at 08:30, to evening finals that begin around 17:45, covering events such as hammer throw, discus, triple jump, high jump, sprints, hurdles, and the 4×100 m relays.
