Greek Orthodox Church marks May 9, 2026 with feasts for Saint Christopher, Prophet Isaiah and Saint Nicholas of Vouna

According to the 2026 Orthodox calendar, Saturday 9 May is designated for the commemoration of Saint Christopher the Great‑Martyr, the Prophet Isaiah and Saint Nicholas the New (also known as Saint Nicholas of Vouna). Churches across Greece held liturgical services, including a festive Vespers ceremony in Thessaly, where clergy highlighted the dual celebration of Easter and the saints’ feast.
