Greek PM’s Digital Chief Nikos Romanos Criticizes ELAS Funding Transparency

Nikos Romanos, director of digital communication for Greece’s Prime Minister, told Skai TV that opinion polls are only snapshots of the moment and said he would not attack pollsters whose results are unfavorable.

He urged that the upcoming elections will be decided by citizens and accused the newly‑formed ELAS party of failing to disclose how it is financed. Romanos emphasised that his own party’s loans are transparent and questioned ELAS’s funding sources, referencing past governments and elections (2012, 2015, 2019, 2023). He called for greater transparency in party financing ahead of the vote.
