Greek police arrest football fans in Evia and Athens amid fan‑violence crackdown

Greek police arrested four men in the Robies area of Evia after they attacked a car carrying supporters of another Athens football club, causing property damage and a facial injury to the driver. The suspects, identified as members of a large At‑thens‑based supporter group, were detained following a vehicle chase and faced charges including forming a criminal organization, dangerous bodily injury and damage to foreign property.

In a separate operation in Athens, ten Panathinaikos supporters were taken into custody and brought before the court on heavy charges that include membership in a criminal organization, possession and manufacture of explosives, armed robbery, and dangerous bodily harm. The detainees, known to police since August 2025, were arrested on 1 July and transferred to the court the next day pending further investigation.
