Greek police arrest man for sexual harassment and another for drugs and antiquities

In Kos, an 80-year-old man was arrested by local police for the sexual harassment of a 14-year-old girl. According to authorities, the man approached the minor in a public space, obtained her phone number, and made inappropriate sexual propositions. He allegedly attempted to arrange a meeting by claiming an interest in a relative of hers and promising money. After the minor alerted her family and the police, officers set up surveillance at the meeting location and apprehended the man as he arrived.

In a separate incident in Serres, a 50-year-old man was arrested for drug offenses and the illegal possession of antiquities. During a police operation at a livestock farm, officers seized several cannabis plants, various quantities of raw cannabis, and precision scales. Additionally, a large collection of ancient artifacts was discovered, including 214 copper coins, arrowheads, bracelets, lamps, figurines, and various pottery items, which are believed to be protected under cultural heritage laws.
