Greek police arrest suspects in drug, migration and theft offenses

On 12‑13 June 2026 Greek police carried out a series of arrests in northern Greece. In the Chalkidiki region, officers from the Kallikrateia precinct detained a local man who, together with three others the previous afternoon, placed large cardboard boxes in an area without a waste collection bin, violating environmental protection law. In Kilkis, border‑guard police seized two foreign men, a foreign woman and an under‑age foreign child after discovering they were being transported illegally inside a vehicle; the car and two mobile phones were confiscated. In the village of Pella, a foreign man was arrested for stealing a vehicle from a business yard and attempting to steal another car and a twin‑cylinder motorcycle; the stolen vehicle was later recovered.

Separately, in Thessaloniki, investigators from the organized‑crime unit arrested a foreign man and a Greek man on drug‑trafficking charges. The foreign suspect was found with 11.8 g of cocaine on his person, an additional 30.69 g at his residence, and a mobile phone; the Greek suspect possessed 0.9 g of cocaine that he had purchased from the foreign man. All suspects are to be presented to the Thessaloniki prosecutor’s office.
