Greek police arrest three migrant traffickers in Evros region
Three individuals suspected of illegally transporting migrants were arrested in separate operations in the Evros region of Greece. The raids were carried out by the Border Guard Units of the Alexandroupoli and Orestiada police divisions, in coordination with Frontex officers.
The first arrest occurred on a national highway near Ormenio‑Ardani, where a foreign driver was found moving five undocumented migrants inland. A second operation in a nearby settlement captured a Greek trafficker driving a vehicle with seven illegal passengers. The third seizure took place on a provincial road at night, apprehending another foreign driver transporting five migrants. All seized vehicles and mobile phones were confiscated, and the suspects have been referred to the prosecutorial authorities for further investigation.
