Greek police conduct major operations in Central Greece and Attica

Greek police have conducted extensive operations across Central Greece and Attica, resulting in multiple arrests for various offenses.

In the Central Greece region, coordinated actions across Boeotia, Euboea, Evrytania, Phthiotis, and Phocis led to 30 arrests within a 24-hour period. The operations targeted theft prevention, drug enforcement, and traffic safety. Among those detained were individuals charged with drug law violations, vehicle theft, health regulation breaches, and property damage. During these checks, authorities inspected 883 vehicles and 104 individuals, seizing small quantities of cocaine and cannabis.

In a separate operation in Attica, specifically in the Fylis area, authorities arrested two members of a criminal organization, aged 16 and 18, linked to at least 34 cases of theft and fraud. The group allegedly operated by posing as electricity company employees, using a rented vehicle to deceive victims under the pretext of electrical leaks or radiation issues. The gang is suspected of stealing over 250,000 euros through these organized schemes. Six additional individuals have been identified in connection with the investigation.
