Greek police launch anti‑youth and crime raids in Thessaloniki, Argolis and Arcadia

Police from the Juvenile Protection Unit of Thessaloniki carried out a night‑time operation in the municipality of Neapoli‑Sykies. They examined 48 people, of whom 44 were minors, inspected nine premises and arrested one adult for a drug‑law violation. The action aimed to map and curb under‑age offences and the consumption of alcoholic drinks by minors.

Separate police raids were conducted in the Argolis and Arcadia regions. In Argolis, 27 people were checked, six detained and five arrested for offenses including drug possession, fraud, identity‑document loss, health‑code breaches and neglect of a minor. In Arcadia, 13 people were checked, three detained and three arrested for electricity‑theft. Additional investigations uncovered three fraud cases in Argolis, two traffic‑code violations and a small cannabis seizure.

The operations are part of a broader effort by Greek law‑enforcement agencies to prevent juvenile crime and suppress various illicit activities across several municipalities.
