Greek political parties EL.A.S. and PASOK see MP shifts

Greek political parties EL.A.S. and PASOK are actively recruiting current and former Members of Parliament to strengthen their ranks ahead of the 2027 elections. This competition between Alexis Tsipras and Nikos Androulakis has led to several high-profile shifts.

Miltos Zambaras, an independent MP from Aetolia-Acarnania who previously split from SYRIZA, is expected to join EL.A.S. following his resignation from Parliament.

Meanwhile, PASOK is set to welcome several members. Nina Kasimati, an independent MP formerly of PASOK who had moved to SYRIZA, is expected to rejoin the PASOK parliamentary group. Other potential additions to PASOK include independent MP Giota Poulo and former SYRIZA MP Thanos Moraitis, who may enter the party through a parliamentary seat vacancy.
