Greek politicians propose center-left coalition dialogue
Political figures in Greece are discussing the potential for a center-left coalition following upcoming elections. Giorgos Siakantaris, author of the Alexis Tsipras Institute manifesto, has called for a dialogue regarding a coalition of parties, specifically suggesting the inclusion of ELAS, PASOK, and SYRIZA.
Siakantaris noted that while the current pre-election period makes such discussions difficult, a formal dialogue should begin regardless of the election results. This follows similar comments from independent MP Giannis Dragasakis, who emphasized finding common ground between the progressive forces of the left and PASOK to avoid political fragmentation.
The goal of these proposed convergences is to move beyond individual differences and establish a unified roadmap for addressing the country's ongoing crises.
