Greek Interview poll: New Democracy leads with 26.8%, 11‑point gap over EL.AS

A new Interview poll for POLITIC shows New Democracy (ND) at 26.8 % of the vote intention, maintaining an 11‑point lead over the centre‑left EL.AS (15.8 %). PASOK holds third place with 10.1 %, while the Greek Solution trails closely at 8.9 % and the Communist Party (KKE) at 5.9 %. Smaller parties cluster around the 3 % threshold: Hope (5.3 %), MERA25 (3.1 %), Voice of Reason (3.0 %) and Freedom Sailing (2.9 %). Undecided voters account for 9 % and 5 % say they would choose a different party. The poll identifies a potential niche for a new party led by former prime minister Antonis Samaras: 12 % say they would vote “very” or “somewhat” for such a party, rising to 21 % when “a little” likelihood is included. Institutional trust remains low – only 8 % trust political parties, 17 % the parliament, and 23 % the justice system, while the army enjoys 62 % confidence. Within SYRIZA, only 7 % believe new leader Rena Dourou can revitalize the party, compared with 23‑30 % for rival PAU Polakis. The results highlight a fragmented electorate and deep skepticism toward existing institutions ahead of the upcoming elections.
