Greek Prime Minister to present four-year economic outlook at Thessaloniki Fair
Thanasis Kontogeorgis, Minister of State, stated that the Greek Prime Minister will present an economic horizon for the next four years during the International Thessaloniki Fair (DETh). While noting that elections are expected in the spring of 2027, Kontogeorgis emphasized that the upcoming presentation will not be a typical pre-election speech, but rather a strategic outline for the country's future.
The Minister highlighted the consistency of the government's economic policy, citing previous measures for retirees and tax reforms as evidence. He expressed optimism regarding the economy's fiscal and developmental potential to achieve significant growth, provided international circumstances remain favorable.
Kontogeorgis noted that the government views increasing incomes as the primary method for achieving sustainable economic growth. He acknowledged that while there has been an improvement in incomes, the full benefits have not yet been realized due to external economic pressures.
