Greek Public Employment Service launches 1,000 graduate job placements
The Public Employment Service (ΔΥΠΑ) opened applications on 27 July for a special programme that will place 1,000 unemployed university and technological‑college graduates, aged 25‑54, in public‑service jobs for twelve months. Gross monthly salaries are €1,250 for university graduates and €1,200 for technological graduates. Applications are accepted online until 18 August.
Eligibility requires registration in the Digital Unemployed Register, a completed Individual Action Plan and meeting criteria such as up to 18 months of continuous unemployment, up to five minor children, disability status of dependents, at least twelve months of work experience, completion of one accredited training programme, possession of a master’s degree, and a structured interview. Candidates are ranked by a points system and placed through the service’s computerised allocation system.
The same announcement also referenced a separate initiative for job‑seekers aged 55 and over, but the primary focus remains the 1,000 graduate placements.
