Greek Public Employment Service launches hiring program for 1,000 unemployed graduates

The Greek Public Employment Service (ΔΥΠΑ) has opened applications for a special employment scheme that will recruit 1,000 unemployed graduates from University (ΠΕ) and Technological Education (ΤΕ) backgrounds. Applicants must be aged 25‑54, registered in the digital unemployment register, and hold a Greek or EU citizenship (or qualify as a recognised diaspora member). The program offers gross monthly wages of €1,250 for university graduates and €1,200 for technological‑education graduates, with the employer covering all social security contributions.

Contracts are full‑time for twelve months, renewable for a second year. Selection will be based on a points system that rewards continuous unemployment duration, dependent children, protected status, professional experience, certified training, and postgraduate degrees. Eligible fields include administration, law, economics, statistics, IT, engineering, architecture, and social sciences, among others. The scheme also allows former ΔΥΠΑ labour advisors whose contracts ended on 30 June 2026 to apply, provided they meet the same criteria.
